I have had pretty good luck with HP printers with linux. The ones I have had
just seem to work. I currently have a 6100 all in one inkjet and a similar
model ink jet printer, an old laserjet 5, and a laserjet 2550. The laser
printers are networkable and all just seem to work with Linux. I have used
them with Ubuntu and Debian mainly. I have also used the laserjet 5 with
CentOS. We have some Ricoh printers at work. I have been able to get those
working rather easily with Ubuntu. They generally have a linux driver you
can get from the linux printing website... .

That site may be a good to see if the printer you have in mind will work
well with Linux.

I hope this helps.

How about a Kodak ESP Office 2170?

Okay, nevermind... Kodak doesn't have a Linux driver and my FC15 build
isn't making it easy for me to check for which models it knows about.

But I have been intrigued by that site and notice how it's powered my
reviews via the reevoo.com site?
Try this category: http://www.reevoo.com/browse/product_type/printers

I otherwise have no advice for you... I have a b/w printer which
_maybe_ prints one or two pages a year. Good luck hunting.
