Or, for a one-time fee you could get a small appliance - like a
Pogoplug - to install Linux onto, and hang it off your cable modem at
home.

I've been using a rooted Pogoplug for screen+irssi and it works just
fine. Low power, self-hosted, and geek cred to boot. :)
