Exactly!  yes, thanks for clarifying

And ... "support" rather than "require".

Comes back around to things like JFFS2 which is/was supposedly very
good about wear leveling.  But it "requires" flash (my term)
addressing, rather than external (like an SD card or SSD via any
interface).
