Thanks to all who knocked me upside the head with the correct answer. I
verified that the computer was plugged in, on, and running but hadn't
gone the extra step of actually reading the instructions.

Digital Ocean's version of CentOs 6.5 does not, however, seem to come
preinstalled with man.
