I would say Bash is plenty to write against. It comes with probably ever
Linux distribution, Mac OS X, the script will have a high probability of
running against Korn shell so you have AIX covered. I cannot speak to HPUX
but I bet you are covered there to.
I guess the question is what is the script going to be doing what this
question is being raised? What platforms do you want to reach?
