wow very generous of you! I am also interested, live around Riverside Hospital (olentangy/north broadway) and could also pick up. Second to respond so no worries if someone doesn't want to split them up.

(Apologies for the cross-posting; I wanted maximum dissemination.)
I am in the process of decommissioning two Tyan 1U rack-mount servers.
The specific model number is GT20-B2865. They are about 10 years old,
but each has a 2.2 GHz AMD Opteron CPU, 4 GB RAM, and I can even throw
in 2 250 GB SATA HDDs for each server. I ran Debian with Xen on the
servers and each hosted 4 VMs. I have all the original factory
packaging for them, so if you want them, you'll get them in the original
boxes.
These machines are still capable of handling reasonable workloads. Each
server had a VM for Apache/Postfix/ClamAV/SA (~5-6 domains each), a VM
for DNS/Bind (served as caching DNS servers for my network and
authoritative DNS for ~10 domains), and a couple of development VMs
(e.g., I had one for building Debian packages, a couple of RedHat VMs
for development I did for a client project, one running a Jenkins build
server for my students, etc.).
The servers are free to a good home. I'd be happy to deliver them or
meet up somewhere in the immediate Dayton or Columbus area. I'd much
rather see them get some additional use instead of just ending up in a
landfill or recycled.
If anyone knows of a recycling place (preferrably near Dayton, as that
is much closer for me) that will take the machines, please let me know.
If nobody wants them or offers a recommendation for recycling, I'll look
for a recycler myself or see if I can dispose of them with my normal
trash.
Regards,
-Roberto
