Hello,
In CentOS 7: How can I tell the OS to completely ignore inserted blank media?
I have already set Gnome 3 to "do nothing" when blank media is
inserted. However, when I insert blank media... it shows up on the
desktop! This is a problem. I think I have flaky USB hardware. When I
am in the middle of burning a Blu-Ray disk, sometimes the USB
disconnects for a millisecond. It is not enough to interrupt the
burning... however, the OS detects that the drive has been
re-connected and Gnome displays the blank media on the desktop. This
clobbers the burning process.
I am going to try using different kernels to see if that helps with
the disconnect issue. I am currently using a 4.9 ML kernel.
Thanks!
