At least 8GB max is fairly common now. I recently bought my mother
a mid-range ASUS (Core i3 2nd Gen) that came standard with 6G and
has a max of 8. Bought a similar one for a friend as well with
similar specs. Can see several on MicroCenter's website that come
standard with 8.<br>
