<div>My MOBO's PS2 circuitry (NOT my wonderful old keytronic ps2 keyboard) is driving me crazy. I mostly run opensuse 12.2, but it has occurred in Debian Squeeze as well (multiboot).<br></div><div><br></div><div>There will be spells (like 3 times today!!) when the keyboard sticks and repeats ..... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm<br>
I think there may also have been occasions when it just gets "lost." <br></div>
<div><br></div><div>Today I swapped out the keyboard for another old ps2 one I had about, and ... it happened again! If I had a usb keyboard, I'd try it. (I *can *ssh into machine after it happens)</div>
<div><br></div><div>The mobo is ASUS P7P55D PRO</div><div><a href="http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=P7P55D%20PRO&p=1&s=32" target="_blank">http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=P7P55D%20PRO&p=1&s=32</a></div>
<div><br></div><div>I wonder if I could get around it by getting a converter -- or a USB keyboard? (I hope it does not portend greater problems!)<br>I remember "losing" the PS2 mouse when I first built this box, so I just stuck with USB mouse -- so PS2 is suspect.<br>
? could there be PS2 issues in newer kernels? (Squeeze runs 2.6.32 though, and it happened on squeeze??!!)<br><br><div>Looking at logs, I'm seeing stuff like below -- seems the only pertinent data.</div>Any ideas?<br>
PS2 hardware diagnostic?<br><br>Thanks<br><br>Scott<br></div><div><br>--------------</div><div>From the Debian Squeeze sys ... rarely lost keyboard before<br>
