RingCentral is about $50/month (after all the not-paying-attention taxes and fees) for unlimited calls to US/Canada, free softfax (send and receive faxes using the same phone number as your voice number), free SMS forwarding (accept text messages on your "POTS" phone number), simultaneous ring with affirmative call acceptance (you can require the called part to "press 1" to accept the call -- so that you can have your calls sent to a number that might have VM without worrying that the VM will "answer" the call and stop the simultaneous ringing), free VM, E911 support, and other really nice "advanced call-handling" features. It's SIP-based, so you can fire up your favorite softphone, too. They also have a smartphone app for calls, VM, SMS, and fax messages.</div>

My only complaint is that they were a bit too eager to "help" (and would call all the time to make sure I was happy -- as well as to see if they could up-sell me). I eventually asked them to stop calling me unless I called them with a problem and they stopped immediately.</div>
