As Web Developer/E-Commerce Manager you'll be responsible for the management and development of our E-commerce website, relationships with 3rd party affiliates, all operational facets of our email marketing campaigns, our organic SEO positions and web traffic. The Web Developer/Manager will interact with Sales, Customer Satisfaction, Creative, and Executive teams.  As a small office with fewer than 25 associates today it’s imperative that the perfect candidate be a do-er (coding site changes and email campaigns, data base management and pulling analytics) as well as a developer/forward thinker when it comes to researching fixes and new technology.  This person will also learn and work with the existing NOTES site and databases and work with management team and possibly outside resources to migrate the site from NOTES to SQL, Microsoft or other optimal platform. Job Description                §         Manage the planning, development and production of Gooseberry Patch's e-commerce website.§         Actively participate in Web Team/Social Media brainstorming§         Design, build, test and ensure maximum deliverability of our Email Marketing Campaigns using external email platform and 3rd party reporting tools.§         Concept & design, with Creative team, build and execute new designs for home page and other required pages for the website, as needed, including graphic design, site navigation, and layout of content using appropriate methods to optimize performance both in customer experience and functionality.§         Execute new designs for weekly (or more frequent) e-mail pushes.§         Prepare and manage all product, PR and catalog images, new bursts or buttons as needed for use on website, in email pushes and press sites.§         Monitor and improve search engine performance as it relates to organic search engine optimization.§         Maintain search engine sitemaps for Yahoo, Google and MSN.§         Analyze website usage using Google Analytics for optimal customer site usability.§         Respond to website Customer Service issues and improve customer experience.§         Manage 3rd party vendor relationships for our Content Delivery Network, Social Network Coupon Programs, Apps Stores, and co-located hardware/software.§         App making and modification (Apple and Android, so far)§         Work closely with Sales to ensure e-commerce site is working seamlessly with back-end in-house ordering processing systems.§         Support, develop and program new features for website as assigned by COO, conceptualized by Web Team or through own recommendations.  Required skills §         Ability to understand, respect and design in a style that is consistent with the Gooseberry Patch “look” and established brand. §         Knowledge of other platforms and willingness to find resources to learn from.§         HTML and Photoshop skills and understanding of web layout required. §         Must be deadline-oriented and able to manage personal schedule and project workflow.§         Excellent attention to detail and creativity in problem solving.§         Positive attitude and good interpersonal communication skills are vital.§         Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues.§         Strong marketing/web project management skills, a plus.§         Experience as a Lotus Notes/Domino Developer/Administrator, preferred.§         General computer hardware, driver and software knowledge to support office staff on PCs and MACs§         Ability to work both as part of a team in decision-making and independently without close supervision.
