A recruiter contacted me about the following position. It's not for
me, at this time, but someone on the list might be interested.


The Sr. Linux Systems Administrator will provide support to a highly
available 24x7 Unix Enterprise environment.  They will be involved in
the planning, deployment and support of both customer-facing Internet
and internal UNIX systems.  Secondary support of AIX and Solaris will
also be required.

REQUIREMENTS
* 5 to 10 years of experience as a UNIX administrator. 3 years minimum
experience installing and supporting Linux.  Red Hat variant desired.
* Experience with patch deployment products such as Red Hat Satellite
is desired.
* Technical competency with Linux volume managers and file systems (LVM).
* 5 years or more experience with Sun Solaris, HP-UX or AIX is required.
* UNIX Clustering or RAC experience a plus.
* Good verbal, written, communication and presentation skills.
* Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
* Must be self-motivated and possess excellent communication and teaming skills.
* Ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems involving UNIX
server hardware and software.

Desirable Skills:
* UNIX architecture and tuning.
* Knowledge of Intel architecture.
* Knowledge of VMWARE virtualization.
* Linux certification.
* Knowledge of Storage Area Networks as it pertains to host connectivity.
