        I am hiring a mid level Systems Administrator position at 2Checkout.  While this position will be responsible for the Windows infrastructure, it will also be involving Open Source technologies including Linux. [ Systems Administrator ]

We are looking for a systems administrator experienced with Microsoft and Open Source technologies.  We expect a minimum of three years strong Windows domain and Exchange experience with a focus on serving internal business needs.  Knowledge of Open Source technologies such as Linux (RHEL/CentOS), networking protocols, and interoperability between platforms is also desireable.  Willingness to improve skill-set in weaker areas is a must.  Role will be a member of a cross functional team where responsibilities are shared for all facets of the infrastructure.  Experience with the operation of multiple data centers serving the financial services industry is also desireable.

Duties and Responsibilities:

*       Participates in rotating 24/7 on-call schedule for production issues and performs daily operations checklist.
*       Maintains operating system standards, security updates, tuning, upgrades and patches.
*       Updates and deploys end-user applications via AD and SMS on a regular schedule.
*       Provides secondary support for the intranet and shares responsibilities with the Jr. Windows Systems Administrator.
*       Responsible for e-Mail infrastructure.  Technologies include SQUID, Exchange, OWA, and Barracuda Spam Firewall.
*       Provides support for internal Web applications and dependencies including security updates, tuning, upgrades, and patches.
*       Regularly monitors system and application performance, generates reports and seeks methods of improvements.
*       Responsible for system backups and regularly verifies system restores.
*       Responsible for development, test, and beta environments.
*       Responsible for maintaining the public facing ticket system.
*       Shares responsibilities for user addition and removal.
*       Provides primary support for development team and shares support responsibilities for internal staff.
*       Deploys Web applications to production environment.
