Job Description

Corporate Systems Infrastructure (CSi)
Corporate Systems infrastructure (CSi) is directly aligned with
Corporate Technology and Risk (CTR) for end-to-end infrastructure
service delivery. The CSi team delivers customized solutions that
address the unique technology drivers of CTR while ensuring that
centralized products and services are leveraged for their economies of
scale. CSi is the primary interface between the Application Development
teams and Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI).

An experienced Lead Infrastructure Server Administrator is required to
work in the CTR iCTO organization.

Your primary responsibilities will be as a Wintel / Unix Server Lead
working to support development and production operations across this
dynamic, fast growing area. Working with a broad range of technologies
including (but not limited to) Linux Redhat 5.x 6.x, Aix 5.x, 6.x,
Windows 2003, 2008 Standard & Enterprise
This is a new role, servicing a broad range of requirements across CTRs
portfolio of applications including application design, deploy and
optimization support as well as preventative operational and reactive
support as needed. Some off hour and weekend support may be required on
an adhoc basis.

Primary Responsibilities:
•Application Build, Release and Support
•Prepare capacity planning and sizing
•Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner
•Plan, implement and maintain security at the O/S
•Provides technical assistance with the most challenging issues that
span multiple systems, or show recurring trends that have not been
successfully resolved
Manage Key Relationships
•Application project managers
•Capacity Management
•Infrastructure
•Application Development teams
•GTI Design, Engineering and Support teams

Qualifications

•5+ Years systems Administrator experience in one of Linux Redhat 5.x
6.x, Aix 5.x 6.x Windows 2003, 2008 Standard & Enterprise
•Strategic view of a broad cross section of UNIX and Windows
technologies with a strong focus on implementation
Experience in capacity planning, systems performance analysis and
optimization in a distributed client/server environment
•Experience in setting up and supporting HADR - Active and Physical
Dataguard.
•Experience in problem analysis, determination and root cause analysis
•Proficiency in setting up backup and recovery strategies
•Experience with Unix scripting
•Solid grasp of advanced SQL query techniques in addition to experience
with automation
•Expertise with configuring, implementing and supporting high
availability
•Expert in O/S IO performance tuning.
•Expert Understanding current hardware systems, RAID and SAN, NAS
commonly used in fault tolerant production environments.
•Ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve live database
systems issues.
•Ability to manage all database maintenance plan activities including
backups, indexing,
integrity and consistency checks, etc.
•Should be flexible and willing to work off-hours if needed.
•Should have sound knowledge of Database Implementation, Administration
and Maintenance of clustering, log shipping, replication and SQL Server
Database mirroring.
