A friend (not a recruiter) sent this over to me a few minutes ago for an
RoR dev role with his company. He said the job starts out as a 3 month
contract with possible extension(s) - the state of California is doing some
kind of new contract approach where they renew them every 3 months.

CivicActions has been in business for 12 years, primarily working with NGO
and government clients. We're an agile development firm specializing mostly
in Drupal and have recently started working with the state of California's
child welfare agency. We're currently working on a proposal that we are
likely to get awarded and will be hiring RoR developers. This particular
gig is going to be 3 months long, starting in January. It will require that
the team be onsite in Sacramento and will have budget to house non-local
team members and for the team to fly home on weekends. We have local
project managers who will also be on the team to ensure that our
CivicActions culture and process is engrained in the new team and in our
mission to transform government through the work we do with them. If this
sounds interesting to you, we would love to get you on a video call today
to discuss the opportunity further.

I think they want to move pretty fast, so If interested, send a note to:
