MEETING NOTICE
==============

Central Ohio Linux Users Group

Date: Saturday, November 21st, 2009 from 1 PM to 3 PM local
 *** NOTE THE DATE CHANGE ***
  Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the November meeting has been moved forward.

Meeting Presentation
==============
Christopher Bumgarner will lead a discussion on Myths and
Misunderstandings about Intellectual Property Law and Free Software,
with an intent to dispel some misinformation that has been spreading
in the F/LOSS circles lately.

Says Chris: "Before we can advocate for reform, we need to _first_
understand the current state of the law. I think that will make us
better advocates. I don't actually plan on doing any advocacy during
the presentation, I just want to present correct information about IP
law."

Chris is an attorney who is looking for more satisfying work in the IT
field. He's been practicing since 2004. Remember, although Chris is
an attorney, he's not your attorney, so the information in this
discussion should not be construed as legal advice.

The upcoming meeting is open to the general public, and all with an
interest in Free Software, Open Source, Linux, BSD, Unix, systems
management, and the like are invited.

There are no dues or fees.
