Any ideas how to fix this issue (Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 64 server)?:
sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart
[sudo] password for user:
* Reconfiguring network interfaces....
SIOCADDRT: No such process
Failed to bring up eth0
/etc/network/interfaces is below. I can ping localhost but not google.
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.0.23
netmask 255.255.255.0
network 192.168.0.0
broadcast 192.168.0.255
gateway 192.168.0.1

same OS as the laptop) will no longer connect.

Can you advise what I should be looking for in terms of configuration
text files, necessary startup programs etc? This desktop does have
Uncomplicated Firewall (ttps://help.ubuntu.com/community/UFW) installed
but as I write this I believe I disabled that with no good results. I do
get an error message saying that a driver is missing.
