There is a specific format there, and it is decipherable.

Based on the barcode you provided, I found the provider is:

Google for UPC-A, GTIN, and GS1.   Plug in your UPC here,
http://gepir.gs1.org/v32/xx/gtin.aspx?Lang=en-US  and you'll be able
to tell the manufacturer, based on the first 6 characters of the UPC
(well, technically, the 5 digits starting after the first position).
