[colug-432] Digital Phone?

She could "Switch" to digital phone, lower her u-verse bill, and leave her
land line intact if that's her fear (losing the copper line).

We have TWC, and we did that, and having it a while now, I can say the
"digital phone" is really nothing more than a Vonage type thing, except the
internet side is provisioned over a separate / dedicated VLAN on the Cable
Modem side. It still comes in through the same coax line, the "phone" is
still out if the cable is out, etc.

Compare the "digital phone" to standard copper / traditional, the key
difference (aside from nearly 100% uptime on the traditional side) is
there's usually free long distance.
