The only caution I have with using a laptop for something like this is 
to run the laptop upside down (with the vents on the top) or in an 
inverted "V" shape, to ensure you get adequate air flow.  I have about 
10 keys on the netbook that don't work now because (I think) it got too 
hot.  But since I do everything by SSH, that hasn't been an issue for me.
