colug.net often says something like:
As always, feel free to bring with you any ailing or
problematic systems for expert diagnosis (or destruction).
but it doesn't say when the next meeting will be.
I have heard that there's an informal gathering of software
types who appear at Stauf's Coffee Roasters 1277 Grandview
Avenue early (6am? 7am?) on Thursday mornings. Look for geeks
with laptops? Other software types might hang out there often
between 8am and 9am.
Linux types are amongst those who show up at the Python dojos.
See cohpy.org.
I do not know the solution to your problem. I wonder if
secure boot is involved. Search the web for various
combinations of linux, secure, boot, windows, and matthew garrett.
