Those solutions involve making sure you're using Microsoft-signed code
to boot Linux. That's something that can easily go wrong, and we know
that *something* is going wrong in the boot. Secure Boot may not be
the culprit (we have no error messages), but it's a likely one, and
it's an easy thing to try.
