[colug-432] hacking node.js

Anyone in the group played with node.js much?
I picked it up a couple years ago because a particular app required it.
(Comments about yet another package ecosystem withheld.)
Looks nifty.

So then this week a teammate was asking about it, could it be extended
with native libraries? But of course!
Naturally this is new territory for him and for me.
Anyone else blazed this trail?

I've extended Tcl, Perl, REXX (Regina), even BASH. Fun stuff. (no
sarcasm; that was a delight)
Node.js is a little different in that it plays the call-back game.
