What if you have an older computer say a mac G4? You have to install an
even older version of Firefox.

I am running 3.6.3 with Ubuntu 10.04 on my Dell Inspiron 1520.
Everything seems to work OK. I have been able to do everything OK so far
with Firefox. What am I missing? What should I expect not to work in the
future?

Thunderbird 3.0.4 is running well also.

I tend not to update things, as many times the newer updates tend to
come with added restrictions and intrusions to my privacy. Adobe flash
for example.
