I use the web interface to GMail, Yahoo, MSN/Hotmail, ... when forced to
for purposes of setting extra stuff like this. Maybe it gives them a way
to present requisite advertising. (Since they *are* free services.)
Really thankful that I can use IMAP/SMTP (usu with SSL) to do the real
work.
I've never used IMAP to man-handle spam. I've always gone to the GMail
spam folder and marked non-spam accordingly.
Curious if the spam problem is reduced when using the ultra-secure email
services (e.g. Protonmail, Lavabit, Hushmail).
